Office Furniture Loft Supports the Baltimore Humane Society @ Dogfest 2014

 dogfest

DogFest is the Baltimore Humane Society’s largest fundraiser and community event.  There were 5,000-6,000 pet owners to attend this year. This is a community event that encourages pet owners and families to attend and enjoy this special day to honor their pet, and also to create awareness regarding preventing animal cruelty in our community. The event took place on the 365-acre property at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, Maryland on Saturday, September 27, 2014.
DogFest is an extravaganza for dogs and their families. It will be a fun-filled day of dog games, demos, and pet education services. Dogs will be able to play in our swimming pool and sand pit, and participate in our very popular contests, including a Costume Contest, juried by a panel of celebrity judges. In addition, there are vendors, food trucks, rescue groups with adoptable pets, and Mary Swift Photography was on hand once again to lead the “Best of the Fest” photo contest, the winners of which will be printed in the Baltimore Sun newspaper.
Office Furniture Loft was happy to have a vendor tent featuring breast cancer awareness t-shirts, Baltimore Ravens branded office items, baller bands, Zenergy Ball chairs and ice cream! We also donated furniture for the Baltimore Humane Society’s adoption rooms.

“Today, there are five thousand children in the D.C. metropolitan area who are living in temporary care, waiting to be adopted. We need to make their dreams come true.”
These are the words of Janice Goldwater whose vision and determination have helped to conquer the challenge of finding permanent homes for children regardless of their age, race or health issues. Twenty-four years ago, she founded “Adoptions Together,” a non-profit agency to find “forever families” for hard-to-place children – and since then, her organization has found homes for more than 3,500 children and impacted thousands of families in the metropolitan D.C. area.
“Adoptions Together works to ensure kids in our community grow up in strong and healthy families,” Adoptions Together Board Member Tom Burton said. “The Taste In Potomac is one way we come together to have a great time supporting the mission of this work, and we need more folks to join us. I encourage everyone to come see great chefs, sample incredible food as local restaurants showcase their specialties, bid on wonderful auction items, and join a great cause.”
Office Furniture Loft was happy to support this cause by donating furniture and volunteer hours. OFL is very community oriented and is always in search of ways to help.
